This weekend we took a trip to Buchanans Native Plants to try and spruce up our front porch for Halloween. Our old house had a total of 1 trick-or-treater the last 2 years we lived there so we never really felt in the spirit of decorating. But according to our new neighbors, they bought over $100 worth of candy last year and ended up running out. Needless to say we are expecting a big turnout! Holidays just seem more festive for kids so I’m excited to pass out candy this year and be involved in the excitement!
Since we don’t even have furniture for our formal living (although I just ordered these!) or dining room (our table should be delivered in the next few weeks!), it’s hard to justify spending too much on seasonal decor. But next year I should definitely get a fall wreath to hang on the door and cute door mat to go with it.
Since I last posted any house pictures, we got this American flag which I really love! One of the first things I wanted for the house was front porch rockers and an American flag – still working on finding the perfect rockers!
I put a cute orange scarf on Lilly to match the pumpkins (from my MIL!) that actually says Titos on it. Did you know that Tito’s Vodka helps pets in need (“Vodka for Dog People“)? I knew I liked this Texas based business but it just makes me like them even more!
How did you decorate your porch for fall? Don’t forget to add your email here if you would like weekly updates!
Thanks for stopping by!
