5 Easy Page-Turners to Read this Fall

I love finding a good book and always get excited when I find one that I just can’t put down. Life gets busy and it’s hard to find time to devote to sitting down and reading for long periods of time so I usually opt for Podcasts (top favorites here). But on the occasion you have some time to relax and open a good book, here are some easy page-turners to pick up!

Below are 5 summaries (taken from different websites – no spoilers!) of the books that I’ve read recently that are easy reads that will keep you hooked.

  • The Couple Next Door
    • “Anne and Marco Conti seem to have it all-a loving relationship, a wonderful home, and their beautiful baby, Cora. But one night when they are at a dinner party next door, a terrible crime is committed…but the truth is a much more complicated story.”
  • Look for Me
    • “The home of a family of five is now a crime scene: four of them savagely murdered, one—a sixteen-year-old girl—missing. Was she lucky to have escaped? Or is her absence evidence of something sinister? Detective D. D. Warren is on the case—but so is survivor-turned-avenger Flora Dane. Seeking different types of justice, they must make sense of the clues left behind by a young woman who, whether as victim or suspect, is silently pleading, Look for me.”
  • The Woman in Cabin 10
    • “At first, Lo’s stay is nothing but pleasant: the cabins are plush, the dinner parties are sparkling, and the guests are elegant. But as the week wears on, frigid winds whip the deck, gray skies fall, and Lo witnesses what she can only describe as a dark and terrifying nightmare: a woman being thrown overboard. The problem? All passengers remain accounted for—and so, the ship sails on as if nothing has happened, despite Lo’s desperate attempts to convey that something (or someone) has gone terribly, terribly wrong…”
  • Luckiest Girl Alive
    • “At first glance the 28-year-old Ani appears to have a perfect life: She works as an editor at a glamorous women’s magazine and has a loving fiance from a good family. However Ani also hides a secret – as a teenager she underwent a series of horrifying and emotionally crippling events, that have continued to impact her well into her adult years.”
  • Maybe in Another Life
    • “Hannah’s life isn’t shaping up into much of anything. Since graduating college eight years ago, she has lived in six different cities and held countless meaningless jobs. She takes up residence in her best friend Gabby’s guest room. She goes out to a bar where they meet up with some of their old friends, including Hannah’s high school boyfriend, Ethan. Shortly after midnight, Gabby asks Hannah if she’s ready to go. But then Ethan offers to give her a ride later if she wants to stay. Hannah hesitates. What happens if she leaves with Gabby? What happens if she leaves with Ethan? This book is told in two concurrent storylines following the consequences of each choice.”
