Last month we threw such a fun Fiesta themed couples shower at my parents house for one our my best friends and her fiance. They are getting married in Cabo this summer, so how better to celebrate than a Mexican-themed Fiesta?!
Custom Cups / Margarita Glasses* / Hot Pink Tray / Salsa Bowl / Paper Flowers
Some of the fun decor included custom cups, bright flowers, mini pinatas, flower crowns, and the most beautiful cookies I’ve ever seen.
*We found it is actually cheaper to buy Margarita glasses than to rent them. Here I found 12 for under $35!

We had it catered and added a margarita machine…let me tell you… the margarita machine was a HIT! The caterer had to go back to the restaurant 30 minutes into the party for more margarita mix because that’s all anyone wanted to drink!
My mom had these custom “K” and “P” pinatas made (bride and groom’s initials) and they were such a fun and personal statement piece! Sometimes at these events, the small details go unnoticed because everyone is too busy chatting, eating and drinking, so it’s good to have large decor that can’t be missed.
Another encouragement here about using potted plants for events – my mom found these adorable hot pink cactus (yes, they are real!) and put them all around the house with the bride’s save the date, invitation, and shower invitation. You can re-pot the plants or plant them outside (depending if they are indoor or outdoor) after the event and keep them so much longer than cut flowers.
We displayed her save-the-date, engagement photos, wedding invitation and shower invitations (we used these!) around the house.
The colorful sombreros were hung on the entry doors.
