Since the Park House has a formal dining room and a breakfast nook (unlike the Heights House), we had to start from scratch on dining room furniture. I found this dining room table at the Restoration Hardware Outlet first, but couldn’t decide on the dining chairs. I am trying to stick with a transitional style for our home with hints of antique brass, wood tones, and some warmth/texture, so I wanted the chairs to be reflective of that.
When searching for chairs, I found a few good options that were either crazy expensive, had outrageous wait times, or the color read too beige or taupe…who would have known that Target would have the perfect chairs for our space!
When I saw these chairs online, it was hard to tell the scale and I was worried that the back would be too low. After assembling them and seeing the chairs with the table, I loved the more modern square back paired with the more delicate sloped arm. At first, I had only ordered 2 to try them out because I didn’t want the hassle of returning 8. But after being so pleasantly surprised, off I went to order the other 6!
*The color Cream has sold out and restocked a few times already since I’ve bought them!
What I love about these chairs:
- Color – We got the color “cream” but there are 7 different patterns available. I really like that this is a creamy-neutral that doesn’t read beige or taupe.
- Style – This transitional style really fit into our home. I also like how the slope arm ties in with the slope arm sofa we have in the adjoining living room.
- Price – At $170 a chair these were a steal.
- Assembly – If I can put them together easily, you can put them together easily. Hah!
I had read that some of the reviews said they seem low, but they personally don’t seem low to me. Our table is 28in high which is pretty standard. You can see all about that on my Instagram here!
