At the Heights House I had all custom curtains throughout my home, but they took a long time to be made/installed and were very expensive, and I was too impatient this time around. So out I went searching for ready-made drapery that wasn’t going to kill my budget. And YALLL! These curtains! These linen/cotton pinch pleat curtains are CUSTOM made through Amazon and are an amazing price…I’m talking less than half the price of other custom curtain websites. They will update and elevate any room you want to put them in.
**If you do not need custom made, they have ready-made pinch pleat options available here and here that are an even better price!
**I also have these blackout pinch pleat curtains in “beige white + blackout liner” by the same seller in my son’s room that I will save for a separate post! These were ordered ready-made!
These curtains are made to your exact specifications and you can decide how full you want them, how long, the color, and the lining type. You can get them in blackout or even un-lined. All of these different choices will affect the total price of the curtains. They will take a few weeks to a month to arrive, but mine were delivered faster than I was expecting. Also note, these are ordered per panel, so if you want a set you will need to order 2.

For reference, my ceilings are 10 feet and my windows are 34 inches wide.
How to Order
◾ Note: once you click the link to the drapes, you will need to click the “Customized” option and then scroll down to “Customize & Add to Cart” to get started. See below:
Customizable Options
- These are the choices I made for my drapes:
- Color : Paper White / #7084-0
- There are lots of color choices! “Paper White” is pure white linen look curtain. You can order a sample book here!
- Header Types : Pinch Pleat
- Single Panel Finished Width: 52in (I have 2 panels on my window – one 52in panel on each side of the window)
- Tips for choosing width: Take your window width (including molding) and multiply it ~1.5-2.0x to get your single panel width for a full and custom look. My drapes are 1.5x window width – my windows are 34in wide and each panel is 52in wide. I would have maybe gone fuller (closer to 1.75-2x window width), but my windows sit right against the walls so I had to be mindful that I only had limited space on each side.
- If your rod is significantly longer than your window, multiply the rod (not window) width by 1.5-2.0x for fullness.
- Example: Your window is 20in wide. You would order two 30in-40in (20in X 1.5 or 20in X 2.0) panels for extra fullness.
- You can do less width depending on your budget, but I recommend never going below 1.0x window length per panel. Worst case scenario, you can order more panels and blend them with your current panels if you aren’t happy with fullness.
- Single Panel Finished Length : 108in
- My ceilings are 10 foot tall, and I had to account for our crown molding. I suggest hanging your curtains high above your windows. For over 8 ft ceilings, I suggest hanging them 1 foot below the top of the ceiling (108 in for 10 ft, 96 in for 9 ft.). For 8 foot or below, I suggest hanging them as close to the ceiling as you can, without overcrowding any type of molding you have.
- Lining Types : Privacy Liner Shading Rate 75%
- This lining was heavy enough to make the curtains look and feel expensive (they are heavy!). I wanted them lined, but there was no need for blackout lining in my dining room.
- Matching Tiebacks or Not : No
- I do not use tiebacks for my curtains
- Drapery Rod Rings : No
- I bought my own here!
- Memory Shaped – I did not add the memory shaper. This was not an option when I bought mine. I believe that this is professional pressing process which I’m sure looks great, but isn’t necessary in my opinion
- Color : Paper White / #7084-0

What Else You Will Need:
- A few other things you will need:
- Curtain Rods
- I chose these warm brass curtain rods to use all over my home. As a reminder, if you get them lined, they will be heavy so make sure to get a curtain rod that can hold the weight.
- Curtain Rings
- I chose to use warm gold rings, but I’ve seen other ladies use clips instead.
- Drapery Hooks
- I used the plastic drapery hooks that come with the curtains. The sellers have a short video on their Amazon page of how to use them.
- Note: Since they were so heavy, my husband ended up using dry wall anchors to hang them.
- I also recommend buying a Sample Book before ordering so you can choose the correct color for your home!

Curtain Care
When you get your curtains hung, I recommend steaming them if possible*. After you get out as many of the wrinkles as you can, I also recommend “training” the pleats for a few weeks (or as long as you can). This will get you the uniform, tight folded pinch pleat look that I have in my dining room. To train your curtains, fold the curtains at each pleat in an “accordion style” in uniform folds all the way from the header down to the bottom hem. Then wrap them loosely with any type of ribbon at the top, mid-section, and bottom. I left mine “trained” for 2 weeks (but probably should have left them a little longer).
*The curtains in my dining room were never steamed! This is what they look like just from hanging for a few months. Maybe one day I will get to it! 🙃
The seller’s claim that these curtains are machine washable- which is amazing! I personally wouldn’t wash them because I would be worried about shrinking them, so I would recommend spot cleaning and saving the washing for an emergency situation.
