I picked up these beautiful roses from a local grocery store for only $9 a dozen – they were such a steal! I’ve been wanting to put together a pink centerpiece for my ginger jars for a while since I love the pink/white/blue color combo. This arrangement is actually so easy to put together, and if you haven’t used floral foam in the past and are intimated to try – don’t be! It is so easy to use.
You could sub white roses and hydrangea as well for a more neutral look. This arrangement would be so beautiful for a shower, party, as a gift or even for a wedding!
What you need for this arrangement:
- Vase – you can see above that I used both my ginger jar and a white bowl. You can get super creative here!
- 1 block of wet floral foam
- 2 dozen roses (I used 2 different colors of pink)
- 1 bunch of mini roses
- Scissors
I ended up not needing the carnations pictured above.
Step 1
Soak the floral foam in water. It is usually best to just let it sit in a bowl of water for at least 30 minutes so that the entire foam is soaked. Cut the wet foam to the right measurement for your vase. Put the floral foam in the top of the vase.
Step 2
Cut the stems of the roses and remove the excess leaves. Add the stems to the wet foam. I like to start with one color first and add one rose to each side and corners. The below has the first dozen roses.

Step 3
Add the second color roses all the way around the arrangement.

Step 4
Fill in all of the gaps with the mini roses and then you’re done! 🙂
Tip – if you are transporting your arrangement, don’t add water to the vase until you get to your destination so that there is less mess and no spills. I usually transport them in an old Amazon box.
Enjoy!
You can move the floral foam around to different containers and see which one you like best!
