I don’t think I had owned a one piece swim suit before this year (except when I was on swim team as a kid!), and now I’m hooked. I think I’ve bought around 8 or so this summer…oops! <– For the record, most were under $20 and very budget friendly!
They are so flattering and this suit is so easy to move around in without having to worry about anything falling out or showing too much skin! I also love all of the fun cutouts and styles that add a little extra coverage. I originally bought this suit in white for my bachelorette party back in January, and I’ve seen it all over Instagram this summer since it’s been so popular.
Swimsuit | Denim Shorts | Sunglasses | Ring
I originally saw this suit in the most beautiful color blue, but decided white was best for the bachelorette weekend. Since then I found it in an indigo, black, red, purple, lilac, bright blue, hot pink and maroon. Honestly, I want it in every color. While this suit was a little pricier I’ve found it on sale in a few colors, and the quality of the fabric seems worth it to me. It will be a bathing suit that will definitely last for multiple seasons. The only thing to be cautious about are the little lacey cut-outs – when I was taking these photos one of my foster pups got his nail stuck in it when I picked him up and it almost snagged #crazydoglady.
I finally found these denim cut off shorts that I really liked! I’m very picky with shorts, and I thought that the cut was really flattering on the leg. I like the cut off look and that they are longer and looser on the back. If you are in between sizes, I would size down in these shorts.
I also added this boho turquoise ring (currently on sale for $10!) that I thought was a fun touch with the denim shorts with white combo. I also have on some simple hoop earrings but you can’t see them in the picture. Anddd I just found these Ray-bans in my suitcase after they had been missing for months! Yes!
We leave for Mexico in a week, so you’ll probably see this suit/shorts next week! We are going to Cancun, and it will be my husband’s first time there and our first time in Mexico together. We both went to Mexico twice each (he went to Cabo twice, I went to Cancun once and Cabo once) this last year for bachelor/bachelorette parties so I’m so happy we can finally experience it with each other. Cancun is so stunningly beautiful and I love the crystal blue water. I’ll be sure to write a review of the resort once we get back and give updates on Instagram. Do you have a favorite Cancun resort?
Also, if you are in the Houston area, we will be at the #cleartheshelter event tomorrow morning to help local animal rescues raise awareness and showcase some of their adoptable pups. I get to volunteer with Dream Dachshund Rescue who I’ve never worked with in the past, but am excited to get to know! I have the most adorable Dachshund that we rescued a few years ago, so I have a special place in my heart for rescue Dachshunds 🙂 .
Have a great weekend!
